Farmstar precision agriculture service expands its offer
The Farmstar application allows farming professionals know exactly what their crops need and archieve savings in the amounts of fertiliser and pesticides udes their crops.
Stéphane Guillon, who is french farmer, uses this application because it helps to real decision-making. His farming cooperative Axareal sends him maps via the Internet with up-to-date data regarding his crops. This information is used to determine the exact dosage of products his crops need. Thanks to this application, the farmers feel they're being more environmentally responsible, as well as saving saving money.
Farmstar a precision agriculture service based on astellite imagery proposed by Airbus Defence & Space, Arvalis - Plant Institute and Terres Inovia, expands its offer with new products:
- Advice allows to manage plots starting form 1 hectare, thanks to drones and Spot 6 and Spot 7 satellites. The modulation files, both automatic and manual, are accessible to all farmers via the Farmstar Web portal.
- A new interactive board for the supply of nitrogen.
- Farmstar nitrogen fertilization advice takes into account the protein plan for wheat quality.
As part of the program, Terres Inovia's teams rely on RnDExp Mobile to make field data entries that validate the interpretation of satellite data.
Indeed, this product is a Windows application to record various heterogeneous phenotype notations. It is designed to rapidly and safely enter heterogeneous phenotypic observations and measurements on a large number of items in the field, warehouse or laboratory.
Nearly 800 000 ha of plots of 18 000 farmers were followed by Farmstar last season.
